javalibs: Answers to the Ultimate Questions of Life, the Universe, and Everything

From day one of this project I tried to get interesting data out of Maven dependencies. First I published yearly and monthly usage charts for every artifact (that was one year ago). Since then I introduced lots of new features (enhanced search, indexed Github projects and added those dependencies to statistics, showing javadoc and java sources, showing dependency tree for every artifact, indexed multiple public Maven repositories like JBoss and much more), but I didn't publish more statistics about Maven artifacts. Now the time has come to change that.

First I answered these questions:

> How many artifacts are in Maven Central repository?
> What are the most popular Java libraries?
> What are the most popular Maven plugins?

I'd be glad if you find this useful / interesting and very glad for some feedback (inc. suggestions for more charts).
